MATAMATA CLUB “The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, July 16. The track will be very heavy for the Matamata Racing Club’s winter meeting tomorrow. The double will be on the President’s Handicap and the Arawa Hack Handicap. The following scratchings were posted today:—President’s Handicap: Zenette (allowing Bordeaux to re-enter the field). Okauia Hack and Hunters’ Steeplechase: Hartnell. Broadway Hack Hurdles: Soma, Fair Beau (allowing Chandler and Soring Valley to re-enter the field). Second Peria Handicap: Rusty Match, Fiery Ways (allowing Reshure Queen and Black Ore to re-enter the field). Arawa Hack Handicap: Jay Fox. Selections:— 10.45 a.m.—Okauia Hack and Hunters’ Steeplechase: Bowlaway, Master Joe, Sleepy Duke. 11.35 a.m.—First Peria Handicap: Kolo, Aristide, Wrexham. 12.20 p.m.—Broadway Hack Hurdles: Karona. Instant, Twilight Ranger. 1.10 p.m.—President's Handicap: Golden Idea, Aboukir Bay, Rareka. 1.55 p.m.—Te Poi Steeplechase: Silver Blue, Yusuf, Master Joe. 2.45 p.m.—Second Peria Handicap: Cricket Shield, Trench Light, Garry Sirron. 3.30 p.m.—Arawa Hack Handicap: Clennam, Ecilagwen, Her Grace. 4.20 p.m.—Tainui Hack Handicap: Mudjekeewi, Shine, Rangi’s View.
