Control of Underground Waters.— The Heathcote County Council on Friday evening received a letter from the Lyttelton Borough Council seeking support in obtaining control of underground waters in the Heathcote valley area, as the indiscriminate sinking of bores could be detrimental to the borough water supply and conseQuently to the supply of water to the Heathcote valley.
