RIOTING IN JAPANESE PARLIAMENT.—A recent scene in the Japanese House of Representatives when Liberals and Socialists fought for control of the Speaker’s dais. Police riot squads restored order after a pitched battle lasting 20 minutes. The riot began during a debate on a motion to extend the Parliamentary session to enable the passage of a bill to bring the police force under national control. The bill has since been passed.
