A FARMER’S SON’S DILEMMA
Sir, —A farmer’s son has left school and wants to work on his father’s farm, but his father cannot afford to pay award wages, though he has the work for his son. The son, by working at week-ends and during school holidays, has saved up a few pounds. Could he buy a few sheep and graze them on his father’s farm, provided he pays all taxes on any profit he makes Yours, etc., CURIOUS. June 11, 1954.
