THEFT FROM BOTANIC GARDEN
Sir,—l disagree entirely with those who are complaining that the person who took those plants was not prosecuted. Surely to goodness we can trust to the fairness and good sense- of the Mayor and his elected advisers on the City Council. I, for one, have implicit confidence in them on this point. Supposing, for example, the culprit was a perfectly respectable, but mentally deranged citizen, suffering grom delusions on some matters. In such a case would not their action meet with general approval?—Yotirs.i etc., CHARITY. June 4, 1954.
