N.Z. SCHOOL FOR VETERINARIANS
STUDY OF PROPOSAL SUPPORTED
Support for investigations by the Government into the desirability of establishing a * school in New Zealand was given on Friday by the annual provincial conference of the North Canterbury district of Federated Farmers. In the meantime the conference urged that a scheme providing for increased bursaries for New Zealand students going to Sydney University to train as veterinarians should be evolved.
Either conditions for New Zealanders training in Sydney had to be improved or else a school had to be established in , New Zealand, said Mr G. A. Nutt, reviewing a fairly long discussion. The conference did not vote on remits from -its Sheffield and Hororata branches urging the establishment of a school in New Zealand.
