FISHING-BOAT GOES AGROUND
(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, June 4. The fishing-boat Kapousa struck the rocks at the entrance to Bluff Harbour at 7 p.m. today. The mishap occurred almost opposite the home of her owner, Mr W. J. Urwin, of Marine parade. No-one was injured. The boat’s engine was badly damaged, and she was settling quickly in the water when attempts to salvage her were made late tonight. The Kapousa was heading out of the gort against high seas when the misap occufred. At low tide tonight, empty drums were fixed round the vessel and in her hold. It is hoped to tow the Kapousa off the rocks at high tide tomorrow morning.
