A South Island school for printing apprentices wdll be established at the King Edward Technical College, Dunedin, if a request from, the New Zealand Printing and Photo-Engraving Apprenticeship Committee is granted. The Commissioner of Apprenticeship has advised the Christchurch Technical College board of. governors that the printing committee had asked the Dunedin college to set up such t» school. The appointments and classes committee of the Christchurch college board has instructed the principal (Mi D. W. Lyall) to write to the Director of Education (Mr C. E. Beeby) seeking confirmation of this report. Mr Lyall will also point out that the distribution of apprentices and other factors favour Christchurch as a centre for this class.
