HASSAN SCORES 137 FOR PAKISTAN

Waqar Hassan, the 22-year-old Pakistan batsman, who in eight previous innings had scored only 63 runs, found his true form at Torquay today in hitting a sparkling century in a two-day match against Devonshire. The tourists declared at the close of play with 396 runs for seven wickets. Hanif Mohammed (63) and Shakoor Ahmed (57) gave the side a good start. Waqar Hassan’s 137 occupied 190 minutes.
