FIGHT AGAINST SUBVERSION
EISENHOWER STATES RECORD (Rec. 8 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 2. President Eisenhower said today that his Administration had an impressive list of accomplishments in fighting communism and subversion. He recited a list of the accomplishments, which included the conviction of 41 Communist Party leaders, the indictment of 20 others, and the arrest of seven more. Mr Eisenhower also noted that the Department of Justice had deported 84 alien subversives, issued deportation orders against 268 persons with records of subversive activity or affiliation, started denaturalisation proceedings against 24 naturalised citizens charged with being subversives, and barred 127 subversive aliens from entering the United States. The* department, he added, also ordered the addition of 62 new organisations to its list of subversive groups, increasing the list to 255.
