JUDGES FOR BAND CONTEST
An Australian will be the chief judge at the New Zealand brass bands’ contest in Christchurch, beginning on February 21. He is Mr H. R. Shugg, of Sydney, who arrived in Wellington on Friday in the Monowai. Mr W. G. Stevenson, of Christchurch, will be the instrument judge for the contest. Other judges will be Messrs J. Dixon and W. J. Sinton, both of Dunedin, and W. L. Francis, of Wellington. Fourteen military judges will be headed by Major E. W. Boyle, of Christchurch.
