KOREAN PEACE TALKS
Resumption Held Possible (Rec. 7 p.m.) TOKYO, December 16. ‘‘l am still hopeful that the future of Korea can be hammered out over the conference table with the Communists,” the American envoy (Mr Arthur Dean) said today, before leaving for the United States by air to report in full on Korea. He added that it was distinctly possible that the Communists and the United Nations Command could resume the preliminary talks for a political conference on Korea, although this might take some time. The talks were broken off last Saturday by Mr Dean after the Communists had accused the United States of perfidy in its actions in Korea.
