POLITICAL CHAOS?
Sir, —Where is the party whose ultimate aim will be “equity ror all —privilege for none,” as it is obvious that we will always have with us two radically opposed political schools of thought, each in itself incapable of running this country to the best advantage for all. Furthermore, it would seem that the only hope of driving some sense into both schools rests with the capable, logical and efficient middleman. He certainly is in existence, but must be in hibernation; so now is the time to crawl out of his shell and get cracking, no matter under what heading—liberal, independent, social democrat. Where are the rising young statesmen? A politician thinks of the next election, a statesmen of the next generation.— yours - etc ' liberalite. December 17, 1953.
