WORKER PRIESTS IN FRANCE
PARIS, November 19. Three French cardinals have announced changes in the status of worker priests. Their announcement states that the 10-year-old experiment of using worker priests as missionaries to the working class will continue, but new conditions must be observed.
In future, priests must engage only m part-Ume manual work. They are not to live alone, but must be attached either to a community of priests or to Hfe anSh taklng som e part in parish
Tlrey are to accept no temporal obligations which involve trade union £ es P°nsibilities more properly fulfilled by laymen.
