WORLD PEACE
Sir, —The surest way to world peace is through general disarmament, but what are the prospects in the selfstyled “free world.” Vested interests, financial particularly, profit directly and indirectly through war industries, and “war hysteria” ensure the continuance and expansion of these. In the promotion of this hysteria, mental prostitution is a big factor, with lucrative opportunities available in politics, journalism, cinema and radio, all helpful in doping the mass of people who provide the funds and manpower for the war industries and the forces.—Yours, etc., A.H.S.H. November 20, 1953.
