Tariff For Life-Saving
The Seine River Authority, in Paris, has issued an official “tariff” for rescuing. people who fall into the river this winter, says the “Daily Express.” The value of the human seems to depend on how wet you get saving one. says the correspondent. The tariff is reaching out a helping hand from the bank 9s 8d; boat rescue, 12s; diving in for someone, 18s to 24s.—London, November 20.
