KIDNAPPING OF BOY

MURDER DESCRIBED IN CONFESSION NEW YORK, November 17. Carl Austin Hall, on trial with Mrs Bonnie Heady for the kidnapping and murder of Bobby Greenlease, said in a confession read in Court today he was sure he had about 592.000 dollars of the 600,000 dollars ransom money in his possession when he was arrested on November 6.

The confession said Hall had driven the Greenlease boy, aged six, and Mrs Heady to a quiet spot after the kidnapping. The boy was shot after an attempt to strangle him failed. Hall said he and Mrs Heady then drove to St. Joseph, Missouri, buried the body and collected the ransom mopey. The boy’s grave had been dug several hours before. Quicklime was

placed in the grave because he had read that it would quickly eradicate human flesh and bone, said Haji. Flowers were planted on the grave in the garden of a cottage rented by Heady. A taxi-driver, John Hager, who was suspicious of Hall’s heavy spending, got in touch with the police.
