CLAIM AGAINST CROWN
JURY FINDS FOR PLAINTIFF (New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE, November 18. *A jury today found in favour of the plaintiff, Thomas Herbert Scholium, a farmer, in his claim for £1306 5s 6d against the Attorney-General, but did not specify the amount of the award, a motion concerning which is expected tomorrow after discussion by counsel. Scholium, a returned serviceman, sought £1306 5s 6d from the AttorneyGeneral as the difference between the £6481 paid for sheep for a farm obtained by him in a servicemen’s rehabilitation ballot, and the plaintiff’s valuation of £5174 14s 6d.
