FISHING-BOATS ATTACKED
WARSHIPS THOUGHT TO BE CHINESE
(Rec. 11 p.m.) TOKYO, November 9. The Maritime Safety Board said today that one Japanese fishing-boat was missing after five unidentified warships had attacked four boats-fish-ing in the East China Sea. The board said it believed that the warships were Chinese Communist. Three Japanese boats escaped after an all-night chase by the warships. Japan sent two patrol boats to the area to watch over 20’ fishing-boats that were still there. The chase started last night about 70 miles east of the Chusan Islands. The warships fired on the fishingboats. One is missing, believed captured. '
