KING RETURNS TO CAMBODIA
• LONDON, November 8. The French commander in Cambodia today handed over to King Norodom military responsibility for the areas of Cambodia previously under French control. . • The occasion was King Norodom’s return to his capital, Pnom-Penh, after five months in voluntary exile. “I am very happy to render public tribute to France and her representative for the happy solution they have been able to find,” said King Norodom. . •
Olympic Bonds Abolished.— Olympic Games bonds requiting competitors to remain' amateur for two years after the games have been abolished "by the Australian Olympic Federation. At a meeting of the federation last night a New South Wales Olympic Council resolution to cancel the bonds was carried by 24 votes to six.—Melbourne, November 7.
