PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Sir,—This from Jerome K. Jerome may interest those expecting too much of or unappreciative of quality in opposites: “Both are astonished at the falling off in the other one but neither sees their own change. If they aid they would look, for the cause in the littjeness of poor human nature, join hands and start building their nouse anew on a more earthly and enduring foundation.” A study of the forces called in China Yin and Yang might throw light and assist in adjustment of outlook upon a world of opposites; it would be preferable to stimulating aggravation and unnecessary antipathy. Jerome again says: “And yet, woman, you could make us so much better if you only would.
It rests with you, more than with all the preachers, to roll this world a little nearer Heaven.”—Yours, etc., ' MAKEPEACE. November 8, 1953.
