BRABIN TOURNAMENT AND THIRD GRADE TEAMS The following players have been chosen for the Canterbury Brabin Tournament team, which will play at Ashburton on Show Day, Friday, November 13:— J. W. Clarke (captain), Kf R. Greenslade (C.C.), C. Ellis (Mar.). T. Gibson (0.C.), J. Abrams, A. G. Duckmanton (L.P.), B. Salt (Syd.), B. Dineen. B. A. Bolton (8.H.5.), J. W. d’Arcy, J. W. Reeves (O.B.).
The Third Grade XI to play Ashburtoi is as follows:
G. Spiers, captain (St. A.), J, S. Barwick (West.), P. Daly (Mar.), D. McKendry, J. Gillespie (Xavier), D. Hughey (0.C.), R. Ferguson (Syd.). W. Rhind (L.P.), K. Hazeldine (East), G. Franks (O.B.), L. Innes (Pap. T. 0.8.), B. Anderson, twelfth man (Ric.). The bus for Ashburton leaves Days Motors, 244 Durham street, at 8.45 a.m. Catering is. being provided, but players must take material from clubs. —Advt.
SUB-ASSOCIATIONS’ MATCH
The following players have been selected to play a combined Sub-associa-tions’ team at Hagley Oval next Friday, commencing at 10.30 a.m.:—J. G. Leggat (captain)*, G. Royfee, B. Haworth, J. Williams, P. O’Malley. S. C. Guillen, N. Bennett, T. B. Burtt, J. A. Hayes, I. Sinclair, and D. J. Reid. The Sub-Association’s team is as follows : A. F. Wright (captain), E. H. M. Richards, R t Gunn, N. Wright D. Deans, D. Gunn (Malvern), E. Kifching,' D. Wright, G. Frampton (Ellesmere), B. Roberts, M. Sibley (North Canterbury), R. Stuart, twelfth man (Malvern). - Play will start at 10.30 a.m. Luncheon and afternoon tea will be available, but players in both teams must bring their own material. Advt.
