1000 METRE RECORD BROKEN (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) OSLO, September 17. Auden Boysen, the Norwegian Olympic runner, bettered the world record for the 1000 metres with a time of 2min 20.4 sec in Oslo tonight. Last month Mai Whitfield (America) recorded 2min 20.8 sec in Stockholm.
