WEST GERMANY’S NEW MOVE
Approach To France On Saar (Rec. 10 pm.) LONDON. Sept. 17. The West German Chancellor (Dr. Adenauer), in his first foreign policy move since his election vic-, tory, has proposed an early meeting with France to discusi the Saar. French Foreign Office officials said yesterday that Dr. Adenauer In a letter to the French Foreign Minister, Mr Bidault, suggesting a meeting without delay, had exKressed hope that agreement could e reached during the negotiations. The French view is that, politi- ~ cally, the Saar should become “European” territory, but should be economically linked with France.
