GREEN PUP BORN AT WHANGAREI
DEATH ON FOLLOWING DAY (New Zealand Press Association) WHANGAREI, September 17. A green pup was born in Whangarei on Tuesday. Although every effort was made to keep it alive, it died yesterday morning. Mrs R. J. Pointon, of 2 Seaview road. Whangarei, owns a normal wire-haired fox terrier, and between .2 a.m. and 3 ajm. on Tuesday it gave birth to’ a green pup. Efforts are being made to find an explanation of the strange colouring. A veterinary surgeon described the dog’s colour as a light pastel green. He had never seen anything like it before, he said.
