MUSEUM ARCHIVES

TRANSFER OF DRAINAGE BOARD RECORDS The Christchurch Drainage Board has agreed to deposit its early records, together with those of the early Board of Health, in the Canterbury Museum’s archives. Research has been completed on the selection of these records, and they will soon be moved to the museum. It was reported at a meeting of the Museum Trust Board yesterday that museum officials recently visited Ti* maru to make a survey of manuscripts and other documents held in the museum there. The question of placing these documents on loan with th« Canterbury Museum was discussed with the president of the South Canterbury Historical Society. This proposal was now before the society, and was expected to be approved.
