GREEN LIGHT WINS CUP

JELLICOE HANDICAP TO DIXIE (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Aug. 30. The Pakuranga Hunt Club’s race meeting was held at Ellerslie yesterday in fine weather. The track was heavy. The attendance was 17,500, compared with 16,750 last year. The totalisator oncourse handled £133,219 (including £17,516 10s on doubles), and off-course £76,020 5s (including £28,422 5s on doubles)—a total of £219,239 ss. The double. Green Light and White Ensign, paid £4O for £l.

R. Gibbs, the rider of Passionata, which fell in the Pakuranga Hunt Cup, was taken to hospital with concussion. Kanaquaire, which fell in the Harris Memorial Hurdles, was destroyed. Results:—
