WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
Omihi,—Mrs Harrison presided at the July meeting of the Omihi Country Women s Institute and welcomed two new members. Mrs J. Sloss, who has been on holiday in Australia, gave an interesting talk on the places she had visited. Members attended a most successful one-day pottery class conducted by Mrs Mauger (Sumner). Results of competitions were:— large bloom: Mrs-J. Stackhouse 1, Mrs Hawker 2. Small bloom: Mrs Hawker 1, Mrs J. Stackhouse 2. Jar of winter foliage: Miss Symonds 1, Mrs Chapman 2.
