The Wellington Boxing Association is -firing to arrange for a British Empire fixing title contest at the Basin Reserve Spring the Royal visit, with the New Zealand professional welter-weight chamBarry Brown, of Dannevirke, as the C *^e n bout would be held at night, and would be the first in New Zealand for a British Empire title. The chairman of the Wellington Boxing Association (Mr T. G. Taylor) said today had written to the secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control asking him to name the present holder of the title. It was understood that when Cliff Curvis. of Swansea, who is at least the British Isles champion, fought recently in* Europe, he was billed as the Empire champion, but the South African.
