SMASH AND GRAB RAID
TWO MEN ARRESTED AT ASH3URTON
Two men were arrested by Constables J. McKenzie and G. Stevens, of the Ashburton Police, less than two hours after a smash and grab raid on the jeweller’s shop of Robilliard and Son, in East street, at 8.45 p.m. yesterday. 'Twelve wristlet watches valued at a total of £123 Ils were recovered. A large pane of glass beside the entrance to the shop was broken and the jewellery was stolen from the window.
