Scenic Flight Cancelled

The scenic flight of National Airways Corporation, which was to have been held from Ashburton to Milford Sound yesterday, was postponed because of bad weather. Complete weather reports of all the area to be covered by the flight were obtained by National Airways before it was decided to postpone the trip. The office of Mid-Canterbury Transport. Ltd., Ashburton, was notified of the decision shortly before 8 a.m., and by 8.15 each of the 24 persons, some of whom were beyond Methven. was informed that the trip was off.
