CARS OVERTURN

FOUR MEN ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL

Two young men were injured when a motor-car overturned at the intersection of Lyndhurst and Poll roads, a few miles from Lyndhurst, about 1 a.m. yesterday. They are John Edward Nelson and' Raymond John Wallace, both of Rakaia. Both men suffered concussion. They were discovered by motorists travelling to Ashburton and were taken to the Ashburton Public Hospital. Last evening the condition o‘2 Mr Wallace was reported to be satisfactory, and that of Mr Nelson, the owner of the car, was reported to be fair. When a motor-car ran off the road and overturned at the intersection of the Longbeach and Main South roads, about one mile south of Tinwald, at 11 p.m. on Saturday, two men were injured and were admitted to the Ashburton Public Hospital. They are James Henry Telfer, aged 23, of Methven, who suffered concussion; and Cyril Ross Childs, aged 20, of 131 Wills street, Ashburton, who suffered shock, lacerations, and abrasions.

Last evening the condition of Mr Telfer was reported to be satisfactory and that of Mr Childs was reported to be fair. The car, which was badly damaged, was owned and driven by Mr Telfer.
