CHRISTCHURCH RAILWAY STATION AMENITY
Sir, —Some months ago the shaving and toilet mirror for the use of the travelling public at the Christchurch railway station was broken by a deliverer of coke to the boilerhouse, which is alongside the men’s conveniences. Interim replacement should be insisted on, as the new station is in the mirage category.—Yours, etc.. INCONVENIENCE. July 12, 1953. [Commenting on this letter, the district traffic manager of the Railways Department (Mr E. F. Farr) says: “The mirror, which was accidentally broken, has been replaced.”]
