LYTTELTON HARBOUR BRIDGE
Sir, —I would like to see other readers’ opinion on the question of a harbour bridge between Lyttelton and Diamond Harbour. It is only nine minutes’ run by launch, but about one hour by road. If we had a harbour bridge Diamond Harbour would then be a suburb of Lytetlton. Auckland will get its harbour bridge in due course because Aucklanders agree on major problems. Why can’t Christchurch do the same?—Yours, etc.. MRS MISS-UNDERSTOOD. July 17. 1£53.
