Traffic Conferences “While appreciating the value of discussions with other local bodies controlling their own traffic, the committee feels that future conferences could well be held biennially,” said the traffic committee in its report last evening to the City Council on representation at the annual conference of the New Zealand Traffic Institute at Auckland from September 22 to September 25. The chairman (Cr. N. R. Forbes) and the Traffic Superintendent (Mr G. P. Kellar) were authorised to attend the conference and to convey the council’s opinion. The council also approved the scheme for the new system of issue of licences, the fees coupons to be issued by local bodies to be on a national basis. The council further decided to ask that the regulations be amended to place the onus on the licensee to notify the issuing authority of changes of address.
