Ice Skating at Lake Ida.—About 300 skaters were present on Sunday for the opening of the ice skating season at Lake Ida. There were three inches of first-class ice on the lake, and the weather was fine and cold. Ice hockey and curling teams practised in ideal conditions for forthcoming matches.
