FIRST SPEEDWAY TEST AT NORWICH Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8 t>.m.) LONDON. June 20. Australia beat England by 62 points to 46 in the first speedway test, decided at Norwich tonight. Ronnie Moore gained a possible 18 points for Australia, and the world champion. Jack Young, scored 17. Australia’s captain. Aub LAwson, contributed 13 points. A Norwich rider. Billy Bales, appearing in his first test, was the only English rider to win a heat Bales scored 13 of England’s points. Scores were:— , Australia 62 (R. Moore 18. J. Young 17 A .Lawson 13, A. Payne 7, J. Briggs 3, J. Chamberlain 3. P. Moore 1) beat England 46 (W. Bales 13, K. Sharpies Waterman 8. A. Forrest 7, F. Williams 3. A. Hunt 3, F. Rogers 2 B. Crutcher 1).
