N.Z. AND SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

The champion bird at the Ashburton Fanciers’ Society’s winter show, which concluded on Saturday, was a black-red cock exhibited by R. H. Johnston in the Old English game fowl class. Zohrab (Ashburton); best Old English game duckwing bantam (female), R. J. Gibb (Oamaru); best cropper pigeon, F. L. Clark (Christchurch); best homing pigeon (hen), W. Elm (Ashburton).
