AMBULANCE MEN AT RUGBY MATCHES
Sir, —I think it most unfair that ambulance men were charged 2s admission at the representative football match betwen North Canterbury and Malvern sub-unions on Saturday, June 6, at Pearson Park, Oxford, These men give their services free and do a good job.—Yours, etc., OXFORDITE. Oxford. June 8, 1953. [“lt is a rule that ambulance men are not charged admission to matches, as their services are greatly appreciated,” said the secretary of the North Canterbury Rugby Football Sub-union (Mr D. G. Akins) when this letter was referred to him. made show that three of the ambulance men were not charged. Contact is being made with the others, and if any charge has been made a refund will be made immediately.”]
