MAU MAUS KILLED IN KENYA
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) NAIROBI, May 31. Security forces today killed 20 Mau Mau terrorists. The gangs suffered their heaviest losses in running fights in the Magina area of the uplands, about 20 miles north of Nairobi. A combined police and military patrol in the Magina area encountered a gang of 32 Mau Mau, all wearing blue overcoats. Apparently they were trying to disgusie themselves as African police. The security forces killed four before the gang fled. Other security patrols in the same area killed a further 10 terrorists. A police patrol from Njabini killed two terrorists, and another patrol in the Kuambu, area killed four terrorists after clashing with a gang of about 30 of them.
