N.Z. CORONATION STAMPS
SALES TO BEGIN ON MONDAY
(Neto Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 22.
The first phase of New Zealand’s Coronation celebrations will start on Monday morning, when at all post offices a special set of five stamps, symbolising the ceremony in London on Coronation Day, will be placed on sale. Already big orders have been received from overseas for the stamps. On Coronation Day (June 2), a special Coronation air mail will be sent to London.
A special postmark, showing the Royal Cipher, will be used on all Coronation air mail letters, but not on firstday covers posted on Monday.
