Miss Hudson wore a grey tailored suit, pale blue blouse, and close-fitting black velvet hat trimmed with a feather mount .Her shoulder spray of orchids was the gift of the committee of the Christchurch Ladies’ Golf Club. Addressing the 200 guests who had gathered to do honour to Miss Hudsop, Mr B. W. Morgan (president of £}* C tfistchurch Golf Club), said: ‘Miss Hudson must be overwhelmed with the great popularity, shown by the wonderful attendance at this party.” Mr Morgan added that members of the men’s club shared the great pride that Miss Hudson’s fellowmembers in the women’s club felt, first at her inclusion in the New Zealand golf team and then at her selectl on r.as captain of the team. Mrs M. H.
