ORGANIC COMPOST SOCIETY
DOMINION CONFERENCE (New Zealand Pres* Association) DUNEDIN, May 14. The basis of true soil fertility was in the soil’s organic content, said Mr D. M. Robinson, of Auckland, president of the New Zealand Organic Compost Society, in his report to the society’s annual conference in Dunedin. Failure to maintain soil fertility, he said, would ultimately lead to race suicide. Mr Robinson reported that, during the year the society’s membership had increased by 549. The election of officers resulted:— patron, the Governor-General (Sir Willoughby Norrie); president, Mr D. D. Gill; vice-president, Major D. B. Higgins, Messrs H. F. Sewell and C. E. St. John; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. L. Thornton.
