OIL SOLD TO JAPAN
COMPANY SEEKING INJUNCTION (Rec. 7 p.m.) TOKYO. May 8. The Anglo-Iranian Oil Company today applied for a Japanese court order to prevent unloading from the Japanese tanker, Nissho Maru. due in Japan with 18.000 tpns of oil from Persia in a few days. An oil company lawyer said he had deposited the necessary documents with the Tokyo District Court, which will decide whether it can make a “provisional disposition” of the cargo.
