MATERIALISM

Sir, —From my studies it seems to me that the great purpose behind human life is soul development and a search for reality by the individual. And since individuals differ, so methods of approach differ also; some choose this way, some choose that. Again, some will have progressed further than others. We are not all cast in the same iflould; and so the path which enables some people to see the light may leave others unimpressed. Realising this, let us be tolerant of the way of another person, admitting that there may be something in it of use to him, even though it does not fit into one’s own scheme. Let us keep it in mind that there are more ways than one of climbing a mountain, of progressing towards the goal which all humans strive, consciously or unconsciously, to reach.—Yours, etc., M.
