HOCKEY
COMPETITION FOR N.Z. SHIELD JUBILEE TOURNAMENT SUGGESTED (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 8. An Auckland suggestion that the New Zealand Hockey Shield, at present held by Wellihgton, should be competed for this year at a special jubilee tournament instead of on the usual challenge basis, was considered last night by the Wellington Hockey Association. Wellington was not in favour of the proposal, but agreed to abide by any decision that might be reached by the New Zealand Hockey Association.
