MAO SUPPORTS MALENKOV
Confidence In Aid For China (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, March 10. China’s leader, Mr Mao Tse-tung, today expressed his faith in the capacity of Mr Malenkov to continue to lead Russia toward further development and progress. The Moscow radio this morning broadcast a “Pravda” article by Mr Mao praising Stalin. The Chinese leader said he also had 'faith that the Chinese people would continue to receive the same brotherly help from their "great neighbour” as they had during Stalin’s lifetime. Mr Mao said that the Stalin epoch •was a victory for the teachings of Marx, Engels. Lenin, and Stalin on a vast scale, embracing one-third of the world and 800,000.000 people.” China’s profound sorrow at Stalin’s death “must be turned into an expression of great strength. We must follow even closer the steps of the Soviet Union, improve our mastery of technique and Communist theory, and strengthen the People’s Democratic Government in China.”
