He galloped well, and pulled up without any sign of lameness. The bookmakers have made Dalray an odds-on favourite to win the Queen’s Plate, of one mile and three-quarters, weight-for-age, at Flemington tomorrow. Dalray’s trainer, C. C. McCarthy, said today: “I was very satisfied with Dalray’s gallop this morning and tomorrow will be the test.” Dalray will run against three other horses—Aidershot, Free Kick, and Advocate. “Aidershot won the Ercildoune Stakes with such ridiculous ease that- it would be flying in the face of providence to suggest that Dalray would turn the tables in the Queen’s Plate tomorrow," the “Herald” writer "Cardigan" wrote today. “It would have taken a Tulyar to have beaten Aidershot after conceding him such a start as Dalray and Hydrogen
