THANKS FROM HOLLAND
Sir, —The people of the Netherlands have suffered one of the greatest ters in their history. But the sympathy and the generous help they received from other countries have been unprecedented and are a welcome sign of the growth of international solidarity. This sympathy lias consoled and fortified thtf Dutch people; this help is a valuable contribution to the repair of the enormous damage- They have come even from a country at the opposite end of the globe: from New Zealand. We feel it our duty to give expression to Holland’s deep appreciation of New Zealand's sympathy and generosity. We are sure they will not be forgotten. As for the Dutch settlers in New Zealand, the attitude of the New Zealand public towards the plight of their homeland will no doubt strengthen the bonds with their new country.—Yours, etC “ DUTCH RELIEF COMMITTEE. March 9. 1953. *
