HEAVY FOG IN LONDON
(Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 20. Fog which has brought Thames shipping to a standstill ana virtually closed London airport as well as paralysing traffic on many roads, may last another 48 hours, according to the weather forecast.
Only one of 47 airliners due to depart from London yesterday took off and all 46 scheduled incoming flights were diverted, postponed or cancelled* Five ships were involved in fog collisions off Flushing and at least 60 vessels are anchored in the Thames
